Happy Thanksgiving to you guys~
Although it's probably too late to say this now, cause the turkey's probably already finished, i hope you had a great thanksgiving evening! Black Friday shopping is starting pretty soon as well, but setting up tents might be a little to late but better late than never.

Movie Review: Terminator 2 Judgement Day

Hows it going internet world~
Today, taking a break from my normal routine(i dont have one) i'm going to review one of the arguably best sci-fi/action movies of all time. James Cameron's Terminator 2: Judgement Day. For any of you unfamiliar with the premise of the Terminator franchise, or at least the first two (good ones) is that on August 29, 1997 artificial intelligence "Skynet" becomes self awares and wipes out 3 billion people via. nuclear weapons. The human resistance is led by John Conner who leads the war against the machines, and the machines need to get rid of him. So then they send back in time the T-800, Terminator, Arnold Schwarzenegger whatever, to kill Sarah Conner in the 70s, no Sarah Conner = No John Conner. *Minor Spoiler Alert- They failed pretty much, so in the 80s they send another terminator back into the 80s to kill young John Conner. Forgot to mention, when they originally sent back the first terminator, future John Conner sends back Kyle Reese to protect Sarah, in T2 he sends the original terminator reprogrammed to stop the other terminator. 

Whew~ Mouthful. So yeah, along with that basic premise, the action in this movie is nonstop. When you have two androids from the future throwing each other through walls, getting shot in the chest, its all in good fun. Another one of the great aspects of the movie, is the T-1000. The T-1000 is completely different from the original, this one is made of liquid metal. This allows the guy to be able to shape-shift into any person, turn his hands into knives, and is nearly indestructible. If that wasn't enough of a bad combination, with his upgraded CPU system he's able to be a bit more, subtle. He talks like a person, acts like one, i know the original was all that, but he was kinda awkward and sounded like a guy-version of Siri
.

The movie is a great time, the character's are relate able, the story is amazing, and the ending is flawless. I'll say that this is the best James Cameron film i've ever seen and wont disappoint.

Bond Friday

Happy Viernes Everybody~~~Spanish for Friday,
Today England's most respected, and most infamous spy hits the theaters,007 A.K.A. James Bond with Skyfall. Skyfall commemorates the 50th anniversary of his cinematic career, with began with 1962's Dr.No starring legendary Sean Connery. The character of James Bond was created by writer Ian Fleming in his novels. Yea thats right, they still read books back then. He wrote many of the stories that would later be converted onto screen such as Dr.No, From Russia with Love, Moonraker, Live and Let Die, and alot more. The portrayal of of 007 has had many faces over the years as many of you know; Sean Connery, Timothy Dalton, Roger Moore, George Lazenby, Pierce Brosnan, and my personal favorite, Daniel Craig. We have all of our personal favorites and flicks that we enjoy over and over. Even if you aren't a fan, the 50th anniversary is a great time to start or if you're just looking for a good time!

Hi everyone hows it going~
I hope everyone has gotten over the hurricane difficulties and those kinds of sorts. If your a school-kid like me, we're all enjoying the heck out of ourselves because we have a 4 day weekend! Of course, that means all you house-moms are going to have alot more work, but come on, you love your kids <3. Anyways, it's finally that day of the year when we get ourselves another hour of the day, yup, daylight savings! For our quick history lesson of the day, George Vernon Hudson invented the modern version of DLS but it was first applied during World War 1 so farmers had more time to harvest their crops.

Since its the one night where you have more time this year, enjoy it!

Monday with Sandy

Most of you have probably been busy preparing for hurricane Sandy by stocking up at the local grocery store or gathering up all of the household flashlights(my younger brother). Here where i am in Virginia  things aren't that bad, heavy rain and strong winds, not too bad for another Monday. Speaking of Monday's, one good thing that came out of this one was avoiding having to go to school(work for you sophisticated people). Although i did kind of want to go, a free afternoon in the house WITH electricity is never a bad thing. Sure, its still dark and gloomy outside but that's nothing some cup ramen and internet can't fix. So since it is i'll be posting pictures instead of actual words(definitively not an attempt to not have to write something).

Weather News to my Non-existent fans-
"Frankenstorm" otherwise more professionally known as Hurricane Sandy is expected to be big. I know right. OK real stuff now. It is a category 2 hurricane (http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/aboutsshws.php). Since it'd be boring if i just told you all the boring facts, facts, and yeah that stuff, ill give you the most IMPORTANT stuff.

1. It is supposed to last 5-6 days of which may or may not include, heavy rain, severe wind, flooding etc.
2. The east coast is the one to get hit, and states like New York and New Jersey will get the greatest impact.
3. NOAA’s Hydrometeorological Prediction Center: “HEAVY SNOWS POSSIBLE ON THE SOUTHWEST EDGE WHERE THE ONTINENTAL POLAR AIR RUSHES ACROSS THE UPPER OHIO VALLEY AND CENTRAL APPALACHIANS AND ADJACENT LOWLANDS TO THE EAST”- I dont know what it means but i saw the word snow.
4. It might be worse than 1991's "Perfect Storm" which left 13 dead and over $200 million in damage.

New Apple Product

Just to start things off, i know im not the first person to mention this, blog it, or make some silly parody of it, but it seems like a good quick topic. Apple's i-Pad mini. When i first saw this the advertisement for it i thought it was a joke. "A small i-Pad"?, the made the i-pad to be big. Now its some kind of cross between an i-touch and an i-pad. Its like when you pour a little bit of lemonade mixture into water, it isn't quite lemonade and it isn't pure like water, its just about the worst thing you could get. The i-pad 2 with 16gb is $399, with retina display $499, $599 for 32gb, and $699 for 64 gb respectively while the new i-pad mini $329, 429, and 529 for the 16gb, 32gb, and 64gb respectively. Not much price diffrence, and for something smaller i wasn't sold. So yeah, i thought it was stupid.

Now since you've seen me rant on the newest apple tech, i guess i need to so why it isn't the biggest waste of money. The i-pad mini is just like the i-pad, but portable. And who doesn't love that?! I'd assume it's kind of like one of those big Samsung phones that are like as large as a tablet, but can't make phone calls. The biggest advantage i heard on the i-pad mini, was that it was great for games. Most kids(including yours truly) love taking their parents phone and draining their phone with a great mishmash of Angry Birds, Temple Run, Papijump, you name it. This might not be a cheap alternative, but its a possibility. For most phones such as the i-phone, most complaints are that the screen is too small to play any actual games, and the i-pad of course is too big. The i-pad mini's 7'9" screen is supposedly much easier to play games on and the experience is much more enjoyable. Hooray for kids.

I personally did not use this new product yet, and i might be completely wrong about everything. Just remember, i'm a middle-school-er, don't expect much.

Good Morning My Empty World!
We're through Monday, 4 more to go! I hope you all had a great start to your week and that the Bears fans are happy (NFL football). Yeah, so quick synopsis of what i think. Iron man 3 takes place after the events of New York(The Avengers, go see it) and Tony Stark( Robert Downey Jr.) has built more armor's and suits and stuff like that. He is then attacked by The Mandarin (Ben Kingsley) and thus we have a plot. If you want the official synopsis cause i'm not good enough, here, Marvel Studios’ Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy's hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?I think that the trailer looks quite good, after having Facebook promotions, teasers, teasers for teasers, and all that good stuff. Looks like another explosive "Marvel" adventure!

Good Morning Empty World!
It's a new week, a clean slate, a fresh chance! In other words in Monday. Yup, the one dreaded day of the week that ends our weekends and starts another hard-working week. I'm in middle school and i don't like Monday, so i can't imagine how much the workers out there feel.
Although we all hate Monday  i think it gets a bad rap. I mean, one of the days had to go first and i guess he got the short straw, or lost the nose game or something.
But look on the bright side, it's only once a week right get it over with, and not to mention Monday Night Football~

Introductions

Hi everyone~
Although everyone's probably heard and seen this form of beginnings before, this is my first blog post and we better get this stupid icebreaker over with. My name is Christian Yoon and i am in 8th grade. I attend Longfellow Middle School and live here in Mclean, Virginia. See, that wasn't so bad.

Anyways I hope you guys enjoyed your Columbus day weekend, three days without school(or work) always goes by too fast. As you can see i also do not currently have a determined blog topic so if any of you out there who are right now not reading this have any ideas, that'd be cool too.

Well thanks for listening guys to this random middle-schooler . I hope i can post some better stuff later and improve at writing these kinds of things. Until then, i share these words to the empty ears of the internet and page 7610 on Google's search bar.
